I would like some concrete ideas of things that are beneficial to people with ADHD. I seem to find a whole lot of advertisements and not much information…. I have recently been diagnosed and both of my children exhibit all of the symptoms. My research is exhausting, I want very much to learn how to deal with the chaos a family full of ADDers can present. I want to be the best mother possble to my children. I know so little about ADD and what things can help improve the symptoms that I am feeling so defeated. For example, my Psychiatrist mentioned that getting outdoors is very beneficial to people with ADHD. I am starting to include outdoor time in our daily routine. However, when I asked her for more ideas or things that might be helpful she told me just to look it up on the internet or buy books. I am a single mother and do not have the financial resources to buy many books…..
Please HELP!

Dead on. Doctors need to do a better job at identifying the problems by looking at the symptoms.
